DERMAPLANING CERTIFICATION
The Top Layer Dermaplaning 2 Week Certification Course provides students with comprehensive theory and hands-on training in professional dermaplaning techniques. Students learn how controlled manual exfoliation removes superficial dead skin cells and fine vellus hair to create a smoother, brighter and more refined-looking complexion. Throughout the two-week program, students develop skills in skin analysis, client consultation, treatment planning, skin preparation, blade knowledge and handling, proper angles and positioning, contraindications, sanitation, infection prevention, safety protocols and professional aftercare. Practical training focuses on developing precision, control, correct skin tension, treatment direction and safe blade technique across the different contours of the face. Students learn how to customize dermaplaning according to individual skin conditions and concerns while maintaining client comfort and skin integrity. Students also learn how dermaplaning may be incorporated into customized facial programs and appropriately paired with other esthetic treatments to address concerns such as dullness, rough texture, superficial buildup and uneven-looking skin.
