MICRODERMABRASION CERTIFICATION

The Top Layer Microdermabrasion 2 Week Certification Course provides students with comprehensive theory and hands-on training in professional microdermabrasion treatments. Students will learn how controlled mechanical exfoliation removes superficial dead skin cells to help create a smoother, brighter and more refined-looking complexion. Throughout the two-week program, students develop skills in skin analysis, client consultation, treatment planning, skin preparation, device operation, tip selection, suction control, treatment patterns, contraindications, sanitation, safety and professional aftercare. Practical training focuses on developing proper technique, pressure and suction control, treatment sequencing and customization for different skin types and concerns. Students learn how microdermabrasion may be incorporated into corrective and rejuvenating facial programs for concerns such as dullness, rough texture, congestion, uneven-looking tone and visible signs of aging. The course combines theory, instructor demonstration, supervised hands-on practice, model services and case-study experience, providing students with the knowledge, practical skills and confidence needed to safely and professionally incorporate Microdermabrasion treatments into an esthetics practice.
