Acmella Oleracea: Topical Botox

Acmella Oleracea is known as Buzz Buttons, the Electric Daisy or the Tooth Ache plant.   Found in South America, this yellow flower attracts fireflies when in bloom and prefers a tropical climate in the sun.

Historically, this plant has been used to sooth tooth ache, but if you dig into the literature, it gets far more interesting than numbing gums. Splinthol is extracted from the Acmella Oleracea plant, and able to penetrate deep into the skin and relaxes facial muscles.  Softening fine lines and wrinkles, as well as acting as a wrinkle preventative. Which is why it is referred to as Topical Botox.

Collagen in skin and Fibroblasts

It gets so much better than just relaxing muscles.  Acmella Oleracea has an immediate and instantaneous effect, reshaping and replenishing the skin.  Stimulating the production of Fibroblasts and increasing the interactions between fibers and cells. Making this plant the 2022 buzz word in skin care.

Acmella Oleracea can also be an incredible alternative for those that prefer a non-invasive treatment over traditional Botox injections or amplify the effects by using it in combination.  Botox exclusively relaxes facial muscles while Acmella Oleracea relaxes the muscles and stimulates the production of fibroblasts.  Giving your treatment that extra boost, we all want.

As an added bonus, it’s also anti-microbial, and anyone who deals with acne knows how important it is to have a natural anti-microbial  in their skin care regime.

Causing the cellular structure to open and absorb products deeper into the dermis.

Top Layer™ maximized the absorption properties of Acmella Oleracea. Structuring it into our skin care program by first prepping the skin for absorption by using a gentle exfoliant that accelerates skin cell turnover through manual manipulation.  Top Layer™ Toners deeply hydrate and are genetically identified by the cellular structure of the dermis as its own.  Causing the cellular structure to open and absorb products deeper into the dermis.

Infused with Organic Acmella Oleracea

After the Top Layer™ Toners are applied we recommend applying Top Layer™ Fatigue Fighter Eye cream, infused with organic Acmella Oleracea around the eye area and gently pat or rub until the product is fully absorbed.

Followed by the Top Layer™ Amplify HC Retinol Serum, also infused with Acmella Oleracea, we just can’t get enough of it.   Remember to give Retinoate 7-10 minutes to fully absorb and active in the dermis before applying your next product.
